  • Apex Chassis 2.5 Ton Tie Rod Kit (Black Aluminum) – JK

    This is a complete replacement tie rod assembly for your 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK.It includes the tie rod (BLK Aluminum) which is also the adjusting sleeve, and left & right forged steel tie rod ends,plus 2 Ninja Lock Washers.

    It does not include the steering stabilizer bracket which you will need to choose in the options above based on the steering stabilizer you use.

    Wheels and Spacers: If you run AEV or stock Rubicon wheels, you’ll need a 1.5″ spacer. This kits works with a 17″ wheel with a 4.75″ backspacing or less. We recommend the steering stabilizer be fitted in the stock location, or a relocation kit may be required.

    FITMENT:This steering kit fits both stock Dana 44 and Dana 30 axles. If your Jeep has been upgraded to a Dana 60 axle, we have modifications that can work with that as well, just contact us to order.

    • Tie Rod Ends – Flopper Stoppers Built In: Unlike the poly hockey pucks that most brands use, our heavy duty “Flopper Stoppers” are built into the tie rod end and drag link end bearings, giving you an industry leading 27 degrees of stud swing left and right and only 2 degrees of stud swing forward and aft, keeping your tie rod and drag link from rotating and flopping. The competitor hockey puck style systems also call for the removal of the tie rod end boot, which is there to keep the dirt out and the grease in.

    Our tie rod adjusting sleeve is beefed up to prevent deflection under hard steering inputs in rough road conditions. Adjusting sleeves are a common weak spot, and as the lower quality units wear, they distort the vehicle alignment causing greater tire wear, odd steering feel and lower fuel economy as the front tires ‘fight’ each other.

    This is a complete “1 Ton” upgraded replacement STANDARD mount drag link kit for your 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. It includes the drag link (Black Aluminum) which is also the adjusting sleeve, and left & right forged steel drag link ends, plus 2 Ninja Lock Washers.

    This KIT is a STANDARD under knuckle mount, typically for lifts 3.5 inches or less. If you’re looking for a ‘FLIP KIT’ (over knuckle mount), please see KIT153.
